1. About these terms

These terms apply to donate.socasemp.org, run by Sought-Out Cities Arts, Skills and Empowerment Initiative ("Socasemp", "we"), CAC/IT/NO 97601, D2, Unit 7, Jacob Mews Estate, Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria. By using the site you agree to them. Gifts are also covered by our Donation Terms, ambassadors by the Ambassador Programme Terms, and your data by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2. Who can use the site

Anyone may visit. To give or to hold a donor account you must be 18 or over, or give with a parent's or guardian's permission. Ambassador accounts are created only by Socasemp; there is no public ambassador sign-up.

3. Your account

• Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password, email and authenticator app to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us straight away at support@socasemp.org if you think someone else has used it.
• You can delete your account at any time from your donor or ambassador page. What we keep afterwards is explained in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use another person's payment details, email or identity;
• make gifts to launder money, test stolen cards or for any unlawful purpose;
• try to get into accounts or parts of the site that aren't yours, or overload, probe or attack the site;
• use automated tools to fill in forms, or get round the bot check;
• copy donors' or ambassadors' details from the site for any purpose.

5. Payments

Payments are taken by Paystack, Flutterwave and NOWPayments through their own secure pages or pop-ups, under their own terms. We are not responsible for their services, but we will help you sort out any problem with a gift made through this site.

6. Our content

The Socasemp name, logo, text, photographs and design belong to Socasemp or the people who gave us permission to use them. You may share links and short quotes to promote our work. Anything else needs our written permission.

7. Accuracy and availability

We work to keep project information, amounts and timings accurate, but they can change. We may update, pause or stop the site at any time, for example for maintenance.

8. Liability

The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by events outside our control, such as a payment provider's or bank's failure. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes go to the courts of Lagos State, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
